HOW NOT TO PAINT A WALL WHITE.

A few days ago I (albeit with some expert help) completed my first wall drawing for around 10 years.  The new work was commissioned for the exhibition ‘Nothing is forever’ at the newly extended South London Gallery.  The exhibition features wall drawings by 20 artists including such luminaries as Lawrence Weiner, Robert Barry and Lily van der Stokker.

So  here’s the journey from the initial design to computer mock up to a white wall and five hectic days at the top of a scaffolding tower…..

  1. GO SEE it’s beautiful, this wallpainting turned out to be my favourite and the gallery extension isn’t half bad either
